WINTER FESTIVAL

Mob Factory is excited to announce a new event hosted by Evergreen Park & Recreation District at Evergreen Lake celebrating what Evergreen does best – WINTER! The First Annual Winter Festival at Evergreen Lake will occur on February 4, 2012 and is brought to you by the Evergreen Park & Recreation District in partnership with Echo Mountain.

Daytime events will begin at 8:00 a.m. at Echo Mountain, with the SnowDash Extreme 5K Adventure Race on the slopes of at Echo Mountain. For race information and registration, visit www.snowdashcolorado.com.

Events at Evergreen Lake Park will kick off at 10:00 a.m. and are free during the day. Featured daytime events will include a snow mountain bike race, snow sculpture competition, figure skating exposition, sleigh rides, Snow Castle play area for kids, and unique winter sports. In addition to great events, the Festival will include hot drinks, fire pits, a winter beer garden, seasonal food and shopping from a wide variety of local vendors. Ice-skating will be open to the public throughout the day.

At dusk, the Winter Festival at Evergreen Lake will transform into a night-time celebration highlighted by music, competition and fireworks. The night’s featured event will be Evergreen’s first-ever Rail Jam competition, under the lights and presented by Echo Mountain. The Rail Jam will draw professional snowboarders and skiers competing for prizes on a custom-built course finishing on Evergreen Lake. Ice-skating, winter beer garden, hot drinks and seasonal food will continue into the night, accompanied by one of Colorado’s premier DJ’s. The evening will be capped off by an amazing fireworks show over Evergreen Lake.

Entry tickets for the night-time festivities, including the Rail Jam, fireworks, ice skating and music, are $10 for adults, $7 for students ages 13-20, and free for children 12 and under.

The Winter Festival at Evergreen Lake is all about getting outside to PLAY LOCAL™ in Evergreen, and all proceeds go back into Evergreen Park & Recreation District parks and recreation programming.
